SOLUTION HK: EAR Topical Tincture

WHY CHOOSE IT

Excess keratin on ear margins: One chronic issue for some dogs is ear margin hyperkeratosis (a.k.a. ear margin dermatosis or ear margin seborrhea). This is more common in dogs with big floppy ears but can be seen in any shaped ear. The outer margin of the ear develops a ridge of dark, waxy-feeling residue. It does not cause the dog discomfort (unless it gets so severe that fissures develop). But it can lead to alopecia (loss of fur) on the ear. This condition has no known cure.

This topical herbal tincture helps loosen keratin plugs and can reduce keratin buildup when used regularly. **

  • Using cotton pad, apply to affected skin of ear. Gently rub to soften and remove excess keratin. Allow to dry (do not rinse off). Do not use on broken skin. Use daily until condition is managed. Once condition is less active, the tincture can be applied to the outer ears just twice per week for management. If too drying, or if fissures have developed, apply Solution HK: Nose & Paw Pad Balm on top. STORE OUT OF REACH OF PETS AND CHILDREN. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
